Hello, I am currently doing some research on bitcoin and I am looking for more documentation or statements by the US military, FBI, CIA or other governmental security organizations.
I am looking for stuff along the lines of http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/threatlevel/2012/05/Bitcoin-FBI.pdf
I have been following the sub on my main account for many months now and I figured I would ask for some help since many heads are better than one.
Thanks a bunch.

Bitcoin Documentation - Highlight terms on hover?

Does anyone else think the bitcoin documentation should just show the linked terms by default, instead of having to hover over the paragraph?

Pentagon Documents Reveal The U.S. Has Planned For A Bitcoin Rebellion

Pentagon Documents Reveal The U.S. Has Planned For A Bitcoin Rebellion
I write about how bitcoin, crypto and blockchain can change the world.
Bitcoin has struggled to find support in the U.S. government, with president Donald Trump, along with Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin, leading the criticism.
Now, it’s been revealed the U.S. Department of Defense has wargamed scenarios involving a Generation Z rebellion that uses bitcoin to undermine and evade “the establishment.”
In the Pentagon war game, young people born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s use cyber attacks to steal money and convert it to bitcoin, documents published by investigative news site The Intercept revealed.
Called the 2018 Joint Land, Air and Sea Strategic Special Program (JLASS), the war game is set in 2025 and is “intended to reflect a plausible depiction of major trends and influences in the world regions.”
The scenario, which echoes recent protests in the U.S. and around the world against racial injustice, involves some members of Gen Z, who see themselves “as agents for social change” and believe the “system is rigged” against them, begin a “global cyber campaign to expose injustice and corruption and to support causes it deem[s] beneficial.”
The group, called Zbellion, encourages cyber attacks against organizations that support “the establishment,” funnelling stolen cash into bitcoin to make “small, below the threshold donations” to “worthy recipients” and Zbellion members.
The program, which also reportedly wargamed scenarios involving Islamist militants and anti-capitalist extremists, was conducted by students and faculty from the U.S. military’s war colleges, the training ground for prospective generals and admirals.
THE INTERCEPT / THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
Bitcoin has increasingly been adopted by Wall Street and the world’s biggest financial institutions since its 2017 price explosion but remains a tool to fight government control.
The Pentagon war game documents have been revealed after Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz called for the government to “freeze” the money of demonstrators after country-wide protests over the killing of George Floyd turned violent this month.
“One of the most important tools in the authoritarian toolkit is the ability to freeze the funding of legitimate political dissent,” Nathaniel Whittemore, a bitcoin and cryptocurrency consultant and strategist, said previously.
“By separating the infrastructure of money from the infrastructure of state power, bitcoin makes it that much harder for this type of politically motivated confiscation.”
Bitcoin has seen a surge of interest in recent months due to the coronavirus pandemic and never-before-seen levels of government borrowing.
“In the wake of unprecedented central bank action around the Covid-19 crisis, it seemed like the most relevant narrative of bitcoin in 2020 was as a hedge against inflation,” Whittemore said.
“It appears, however, that its capacity for censorship resistance might be just as relevant.”

Making bitcoin more acceptable

Now it is a well known fact that money is any commodity which has durability, portability, divisibility, uniformity, limited supply, and acceptability. Now bitcoin has all these functions except for the last one which is why more banks and financial institutions don't readily recognize it as such. The question I would like to address to my fellow crypto currency enthusiasts, is how can we make bitcoin widely accepted? What would it take for such a massive change to happen? Well, in my opinion, firstly we would need it to be widely accepted and as widespread as credit cards and the political red tapes should be immediately removed. Perhaps every account on the blockchain should have kyc but that would eliminate one of the goals of bitcoin for helping users stay anonymous. Other than that, the most effective way could be to have more sources of entertainment for bitcoin online such as decentralized online casinos (an example being EarnBet), an online video streaming service (like netflix) but its goal should be for educating the public about bitcoin, documents on bitcoin, how it was created, more about its creator and more importantly for the future of Bitcoin. If this site would be streamed every where on the planet, I'm sure Bitcoin would easily be worth a trillion bucks and since it would be worth more, perhaps its volatility would be reduced resulting in a reduced need for people to sell bitcoin when they would need to purchase any commodities or assets. Imagine paying for your house via bitcoin, I for one would love that. If you were the finance minister of U.S.A what steps would you take to promote bitcoin, aligning to its fundamentals and goals for which it was built for and simultaneously cutting down on money laundering, terrorism, etc in a way that would promote and foster the country's economy?

BTC Miner | Free Bitcoin Mining

Getting Bitcoin 0.05 btc free is possible in BTCMiner. First of all you should know the basics of blockchain, that is the underlying technology for cryptocurrencies. The technology acts like a public, digital ledger of every single transaction made in bitcoin, documenting each transaction of the cryptocurrency to a database, copying the database, and sending to every computer, or node, in its network.

RPC API documentation for Bitcoin Unlimited/BCHN still accurate?

I was looking to calculate the fee of a transaction that is still in the memory pool. I was going to do this by looking up the amounts of the inputs and subtract all the outputs from it but then I noticed the getmempoolentry RPC also has a field named "fee". That would be exactly what I'm looking for except it's marked DEPRECATED in the docs?
It works just fine in the latest Bitcoin Unlimited release. Is this really going to be deprecated in the near future or is that a leftover label from the Core code?

Is there an in-depth place with full documentation of the entire bitcoin protocol and client specifications?

I’m working to create a clone mostly just to learn about blockchain and I had a few questions about how consensus is made about what transactions should be in the next block and how people efficiently share node IP addresses in a decentralized way.
If anyone has the answers to any of these it would be really great and if not I’m willing to read some documentation. Thanks!
